Students in Biology write theses on a wide range of topics.
Biology is a broad field, encompassing such areas as cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, organismal biology, neuroscience and behavior, health and medicine, ecology, and evolution.
Theses in biology are as broad and wide ranging as the field of biology itself and the diversity of interests among our students. Harvard has many faculty who can support and guide research in all of these areas.
A note about statistics
All students concentrating in biology are required to take statistics. This course can count as a field course or as an elective.
